I make them transgender. Okay?
Headcannons below the cut ✂️!
Isabeau (he/him): Isabeau wanted to name himself Isaboy because he thought that would be funny (it is) but his mom wouldn't let him legally change his name to that so he chose Isabeau, which is exactly two letters off from Isabel. People still call him Isaboy as a joke, though.
The first person he told was Max, both because xe (Max) is ambiguously transgender in every universe, and because xir dad cracked his egg by showing him that masculinity can be whimsy and joy and not just the hardened role hes been forced to play until now. This realization would probably come after a short but very intense femme phase after whatever happens to his grandpa happens (exorcism hopefully) where he tried to embrace traditional "girly" things and while the freedom was nice he hated it so bad and eventually realized he was just forcing himself into another box. Him and Max are the Buzzcut Brothers during highschool.
Anna (she/they): Anna wanted to name herself Miku, and then remembered that she was white. She decided to name herself after the titular Anna from Fr/ozen, which is lame but its a "fucking Mildred?" situation where her friends are begrudgingly supportive. You can't really see it well, but her hairties are the same magenta as Miku's!!
The realization would come after like... years of repression and thinking that feeling Wrong is a problem unique to her and that Nobody Else Has Ever Felt This Way. The catalyst is an argument with Max over it which xe says "just google it, stupid". She does and then stares haunted at her computer screen and the posters of pretty anime girls up on her walls. How her favorite stories all feature transformation. She probably tells Doorman first, at like midnight, and then frets over her contact list before she calls up Max. Xe comes over grumbling the whole time but still supportive has she sobs her eyes out over this realization and gets snot into xir sweater. Xe makes fun of her name but nicely. And then xe asks if she wants to hear any other diagnosises that Max thinks she has. She says "no thank you I've realized enough for tonight ♡" and she is later diagnosed with autism, ocd, bipolar personality disorder and depression.
Crash (they/them): Crash names themself both after the titiular bandicoot and in honor of Crush, the guy who strangled them the day they realized they where nonbinary. This name is awesome and literally the perfect choice for them, its the perfect amount of absurd to suit them and also a normal enough sounding word that people would do a double take when they introduce themselves.
The first person they tell is honestly? Probably Rj. After a few weeks of Knowing that their... not cis, they track down Rj when their alone and explain the situation to them. Their super supportive, obviously, and extremely excited to have cracked Crash's egg. They are delighted by the name and in honor of the choice Rj takes Crash out to egg some houses with the jang. Crash tells the rest of the jang next, with Johnny being deeply enthused by the same they chose and concinved them to try and let Ollie roll them like a bowling ball. Ollie does so and another beautiful friendship is formed. Stephen solemnly tells them "Im proud a' you Crash, gender is a scam made up by the goverment to track our bathroom usage and its pretty cool that you're sticking it to the man like that". Crash nods equally solemnly in response, appreciating how thats fully just a fucking insane thing to say. They nervously tell Isabeau (who at that point is probably still Isabel) over text the next day, who then hunts them down to squeeze them in a hug.
Max (-/-): Max, of course, looks the same in every timeline. No matter what, they have a buzzcut and their name is Max. Cis girl? Buzzcut. Trans girl? Buzzcut. Trans guy? Buzzcut. Cis guy? Buzzcut. Nonbinary? You're never gonna belive it, but, they have a buzzcut. It/its situation in every timeline too. Doesnt matter the combo. She? She/it. Makes 'shit' puns about it. He/it? He is gonna "he/it" you with his car. They/it? Theres no pun for this one but it'll find a way to make one. It/its classic? Also no pun but it gets a boost to its attack speed so it doesnt really need one.
Max doesnt really come out to anyone. Xe doesnt feel the need to. You dont know its alphabet and you will never learn. If it feels like sharing xe will. If it doesn't, it wont. If you try and make it join a pronoun circle against its will, it will pull the god danm fire alarm. It will tell you its not cis but will not tell you in which way.
"Max, why dont you come join the pronoun circl-" "Spender, if you dont stop trying to get me to share my alphabet, Ill take a "she/it" on your work computer and pull the fire alarm"
[Plain text: "Max, why dont you come join the pronoun circl-"]

Hi :D First off how have you been doing? Secondly what got you into writing fanfic and what's your favorite part about it/ or your fav moment you wrote? If that questions not for you then maybe, what's the last animal you were happy to see?
Hi! :D Nice to hear from you!
Pretty good, all things considered! A little low on motivation right now but honestly not bad!
In an embarrassing twist of fate - in 2023, I was in a pretty bad spot and was coping by leaning hard into fandom, which I had just gotten into with UTMV (Undertale Multiverse) fandom. Definitely not a place I'm super into now, but once I had realized AO3 let anyone, even me, post fics, I was pretty much unstoppable. I was actually drawing fanart in my friend groups first, though!
Asking me to choose between my 64 wonderful children... (silly tone) In all honesty, a lot of my favorite moments aren't published - or sometimes even written - yet! My current favorite fic is a sonamy fic about aromanticism, which hasn't been released but has been a blast to write so far (half done with chapter one and it's already 2,500 words!) But my favorite released fic? Static Heart (Act 5, ISaT, Mal du Pays body horror, mind the tags) or Never Found (post-canon featuring my human Loop design! This iteration of them is named Ciel, although they were originally intended to be Sisyphus). My friends say that Silent Fury (Isa-centric, focusing on him shutting down when he gets mad) is my best fic.
Favorite moment I've written? This tag on Silent Fury
Nah, that's funny but it'd actually have to be a story-within-a-story in my fic Every Day, Until the Last! I'll include it under the cut.
I can't really go outside often but I've been thinking about the wallcreeper a lot!
"Well, then. There once was a dashing rogue by the name of Banquo. He was the best rogue around. Smart and bright and faster than anyone else."
"Sounds handsome," Siffrin teased, a knowing glint in their eye.
"He was," Isabeau replied. Siffrin blushed and returned to burying his face in his pillow.
"Keep going."
"So. Banquo. Handsome, smart, fast Banquo. Everyone who met them wanted to be them. But Banquo knew better, because they were lonely." Siffrin lifted their head again to watch as Isabeau told the story. He puffed out his chest and tried his best to make the story as engaging as possible for his sleepy, sick audience. "For everything he had, he lacked friends. A family. Anyone in his life."
"That's so sad," Siffrin muttered, probably forgetting for a second that the story was very clearly about him. Isabeau nodded solemnly.
"It is. But one day - one fateful day - Banquo found a little lost kid on the street.
'What are you doing here, little one?' Banquo asked.
'I'm lost,' replied the kid. 'My sister is ill and I can do nothing to help. I am all alone in this world.'
'Come with me, little one,' Banquo offered. 'I am alone, too. Travel with me, and I will help you to heal your sister.'
And so the little one joined Banquo on their journey, seeking a cure for the child's sister's aliment. And for a time, Banquo's life was filled with laughter and color and the joy only a companion could bring. But all things must come to an end, and the little one found a cure and set off back towards their sister.
'Farewell, Banquo!' they called, waving as they set off back down the road. 'Farewell, and may Change light your way!'
Banquo set off on their journey again, hoping beyond hope that the little one would be alright. Hoping for another companion. Wishing to no longer be alone again. They walked for twenty days and twenty nights, until the day they found a lone scientist.
'Greetings, fair traveler,' said the scientist to Banquo. 'What are you doing on this path?'
'I am setting off on an aimless journey, to find a companion. And you, fair scientist?'
'I aim to learn all I can about this land. It is tiresome work,' she told him, setting down her heavy load of books.
'Would you like to travel with me? I can help your work go easier if it would help.'
'Thank you, fair traveler.'
'Please, call me Banquo.'
And so the scientist joined Banquo on his journey, learning all they could together. And for a time, Banquo's life was filled with new, interesting stories and facts and the joy only a companion could bring. But all things must come to an end, and the scientist filled her books full of new knowledge and set off back to her home country.
'Farewell, Banquo,' she sighed, shaking his hand. 'Farewell, and may the expressions smile upon you.'
Banquo set off on their journey again, hoping beyond hope that the scientist would be alright. Hoping she would find luck in all her endeavors. Hoping for another companion. Wishing to no longer be alone again. They walked for ten days and ten nights, until the day they found a young Housemaiden crying by the side of the road.
'Why, young maiden,' he asked, 'what could bring you such misery?'
'My home is being ravaged,' she replied, wiping tears from her cheeks. 'I wish for something to help them, but I am but a simple Housemaiden and cannot do much on my own.'
'I am sure you are not giving yourself enough credit, young maiden,' they assured, 'but if you would like, I could travel with you for a time to help?'
'You would do that for a poor girl like me?'
'Of course.'
And so the Housemaiden joined Banquo on their journey, searching the land for something to help her home. And for a time, Banquo's life was filled with levity and cheer and the wonders of a culture they would never know as well as this Housemaiden would, and all the joy only a companion could bring. But all things must come to an end, and the Housemaiden's home was saved and she was able to return home again.
'Farewell, Banquo,' she gushed, her eyes wet with grateful tears. 'Farewell, and may the Change God themselves smile upon you and light your way!'
Banquo set off on his journey again, hoping beyond hope that the Housemaiden would be alright. Hoping for another compainion. Wishing to no longer be alone again. The same exact song and dance as always. He walked for three days and three nights, until the day he found a lonesome fighter by the side of the road.
'Hello, fighter,' Banquo called.
'Ah, greetings to you as well, fair traveler!' the fighter replied. 'Pray tell, what brings you to this path?'
Banquo paused. No one had asked them why they were traveling since they had left the scientist, after all. After a long pause, they finally replied.
'I am lonely,' he responded simply.
'As am I,' the fighter cried, a look of joy on his face. 'Would you like to travel together?'
And Banquo thought back to their previous companions. The little one. The scientist. The Housemaiden. The joy and wonder being with them had brought them. All the ways each companion meant something to them. Banquo went to say no, to decline if they were unable to travel with everyone.
But just then, the little kid ran out of the bushes, latching onto the fighter's leg and offering him a snack. The Housemaiden and the scientist followed suit, engaged in a conversation about their different cultures. When everyone saw Banquo, their faces lit up.
'Banquo,' they all cried, 'we have missed you!'
'I have snacks for you,' the kid offered.
'I have learned a great many things I wish to discuss with you,' the scientist informed.
'I have come to learn about all the things you can teach me,' the Housemaiden asked.
'Please, Banquo, travel with us,' the fighter said, outstretching one hand."
"What did they say?" Siffrin asked, their eye shining with something that could have been excitement or the fever.
"I don't know, Sif," Isabeau replied, leaning in and holding out a hand. "What did he say?"
Siffrin's eye lit up and he blinked slowly. Then, hesitantly, he grabbed Isabeau's hand. His palm was just as sweaty as his forehead, and his grip was weak and loose.
"I think..." they coughed and then lifted their head again. "I think Banquo said 'yes'. I think he wanted to go with his friends. Banquo nodded and took the fighter's hand and told him that he wanted to keep traveling."
"And so the group formed their own little family," Isabeau continued. "And they traveled the world, hand in hand, for as long as they were all happy. None of them ever forgot each other. They all brought each other laughter and company and new knowledge and all the joy only a companion could bring. They remained a happy little traveling family to the end of their days."
Siffrin smiled and let go of Isabeau's hand, retreating back into their cocoon.
